Dogs have always been more than a career for Lyric, they’ve been a way of life.

With over 16 years of professional training experience and 11 years as a dedicated breeder, Lyric has spent her career helping families build better relationships with their dogs. Much of that time has been devoted to working with challenging behavioral cases, including aggression and obedience rehabilitation, giving her a unique understanding of canine temperament, genetics, and what it takes to raise truly exceptional companions. She is also an AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Evaluator, helping owners build well-mannered, confident dogs through responsible training and education.

Her passion began long before her career. Growing up in a dog-centered family, Lyric stepped into the show ring at just eight years old, exhibiting Afghan Hounds and developing a lifelong appreciation for structure, purpose, and responsible breeding.

In 2024, Lyric and her family followed a dream by relocating from Fort Myers to North Florida, where they could fully dedicate themselves to their home-based breeding program. Remaining intentionally small has always been part of the vision. Rather than producing various litters at one time, they are spaced out, every puppy receives individual attention, purposeful socialization, and a foundation built on confidence and good manners. Many puppies continue their journey through Wonderland’s training program, allowing families to bring home companions that have already begun learning the skills to thrive in everyday life.

Wonderland is truly a family effort. Lyric’s children, Hayden and Wayde, play an important role in helping socialize the puppies through gentle daily interactions, while also caring for the family’s rabbitry. Puppies grow up surrounded by everyday family life and are introduced to horses, small animals, children, new experiences, and the routines of a busy home, helping them develop into adaptable, confident companions.

While Chris brings Wonderland’s projects and ideas to life with his craftsmanship, Lyric focuses on what she loves most: carefully planning each breeding, developing pedigrees and her lineage genetics, and raising puppies with intention. Every decision is made with one goal in mind, to produce healthy, beautiful Sheepadoodles, and Bernedoodles with outstanding temperaments that will bring joy to their families for years to come.

When you choose Wonderland, you’re choosing more than a puppy. You’re choosing a breeder who believes communication is just as important as exceptional dogs. That commitment to transparency, education, and lifelong support has earned Lyric the honor of being recognized as Best of Florida Breeder in both 2025 and 2026. From your very first inquiry to the day your puppy comes home, and for years beyond, we’re here to celebrate every milestone alongside you.

Hi, I’m Lyric—founder of Wonderland’s Boujie Kennels, a premier Bernedoodle and Sheepadoodle breeder based in Florida, proudly serving families both locally and across the United States with safe, reliable transport options.

What started as a passion has grown into a full family lifestyle. My husband Chris and I, along with our children Hayden and Wayde, have built WBK around raising exceptional dogs while creating a life centered on animals, family, and purpose. Every puppy raised here is truly part of our day-to-day world.

I grew up showing Afghan Hounds and have spent over 17 years professionally training dogs. That foundation shaped everything we do today—from how we select our genetics to how we raise, socialize, and train our puppies. In 2024, our family made the decision to take a leap of faith and put our breeding program and puppies at the center of our work instead of just a hobby like the years prior. Since then, we’ve poured everything into developing a program focused on structure, temperament, and real-life functionality.

At Wonderland’s Boujie Kennels, we specialize in Bernedoodles and Sheepadoodles, carefully pairing genetics to produce well-rounded, confident companions. Alongside our doodles, we also work with our two working Boerboels, all raised with the same commitment to quality and purpose, though Boerboels will be very limited, every few years.

Our home sits on a small farm in Youngstown, Florida, where our dogs are raised surrounded by everyday life. Our animals are part of that environment, including our three horses, tons of bunnies and silkie chickens. My Puppies are exposed to children, livestock, household routines, and a variety of real-world experiences that help shape stable, adaptable temperaments.

Health and longevity are a top priority in our program. Our adult dogs undergo DNA testing and orthopedic evaluations for Penhipp or OFA, and we proudly stand behind our puppies with a lifetime genetic disease guarantee and a three-year orthopedic health guarantee.

Our puppies receive structured veterinary care starting early. We drive 2 hours one way for each puppy to be seen for their first wellness exam at 6 weeks of age, followed by a second exam and first vaccine at 8 weeks. Puppies who remain with us beyond that age continue on a routine schedule, visiting our veterinarian every four weeks to ensure they stay on track developmentally and medically. We use Covington Veterinary Care in Andalusia Alabama, and we have no issues with families verifying us as clients.

Nutrition also plays a major role in how we raise our puppies. We feed Brothers Dog Food as an all-life-stages diet and have found it to be incredibly supportive for digestive health and overall development with our doodles. Each puppy is also started on a daily NuVet PLUS vitamin, and we encourage our families to continue this supplement through their puppy’s first year of growth.

Over the years, we have placed puppies and fully trained companions in homes all across the United States. We are incredibly grateful for the trust our families place in us, reflected in our many five-star reviews and long-standing relationships. Whether a puppy is picked up here in Florida or delivered safely to their new home with our puppy cheuffer service, we strive to make the entire process smooth, supportive, and personalized.

At the end of the day, we are a family raising dogs for other families. We believe in doing things the right way, taking pride in the details, and creating puppies that not only look beautiful but truly fit into the lives they are joining.

Welcome!

At our home, breeding is never about numbers, it’s about raising each puppy with the time, attention, and care they deserve.

As a small boutique breeder, we only have a handful of carefully selected females in our program, and we intentionally space our litters throughout the year. This allows us to focus on every puppy as an individual rather than trying to manage large numbers at once. In truth, during those first precious weeks of life, I practically live in the whelping box. Every feeding, every milestone, every little concern matters to us.

Our puppies are raised right in the heart of our home. They grow up surrounded by the sounds of everyday family life—from children playing and movies on the television to the occasional SpongeBob marathon running around the clock. We intentionally expose them to a variety of sounds, voices, and environments to help build confidence and resilience from the very beginning.

At six weeks old, puppies begin crate introductions, and by eight weeks many are already comfortably spending short periods of time independently. We never allow puppies to leave before 8½ weeks of age. After their eight-week veterinary appointment and first vaccinations, we wait a few additional days to carefully monitor each puppy. Some puppies can experience mild reactions or temporary fevers after vaccines, and we believe it is our responsibility to ensure every puppy is thriving before adding the stress of transitioning into a new home.

Health and transparency are cornerstones of our program.

One thing that sets us apart is our commitment to documentation and veterinary care. Our puppies are examined by a veterinarian at both six and eight weeks of age. Families receive copies of both health examinations, including fecal testing results and documentation of each puppy’s condition and development. In addition, every puppy leaves with a USDA Health Certificate, providing a third layer of veterinary verification before going home. These are also posted in our telegram litter groups for families to see ALL documents.

This means your puppy leaves with a complete paper trail documenting their health and condition throughout those important first weeks of life.

Obtaining a USDA Health Certificate requires an additional veterinary examination immediately before a puppy goes home. If a puppy is reserved after that appointment has already occurred, we make the trip back to obtain updated paperwork. While this requires additional time and expense on our end, we believe doing things correctly matters.

We proudly travel over two hours each way to Covington Veterinary Care in Andalusia, Alabama. These trips not only provide excellent veterinary oversight but also offer valuable socialization opportunities, exposing puppies to new sights, sounds, smells, and experiences outside our home environment.

When bringing home a puppy, you’re making an investment in a companion who may share the next decade or more of your life. We believe you deserve a breeder who checks every box not because it’s required, but because it’s the right thing to do.

Our breeding dogs are health tested through Embark and certified through OFA. Our girls are typically retired after three litters. Once retired, they are usually spayed and placed into carefully selected homes, often for a very small adoption fee or, in some cases, at no cost at all. They have spent years giving to our program, and we believe they deserve families who will spoil them for the rest of their lives. Retired dogs are placed as companions, and while no guarantees are offered on adult retired dogs, they can be wonderful opportunities for families seeking a well-established, affordable companion.

One of the things we’re most passionate about is training and socialization. Our goal is not simply to send home healthy puppies, it is to send home puppies that are prepared for the world. After eight weeks of age, puppies remaining with us continue their education through structured outings, socialization experiences, and exposure to new environments. We frequently use puppy strollers to safely introduce them to stores, public settings, and everyday life while they await their forever families.

We work diligently on potty training, crate training, leash introduction, and building confidence. While we often say our puppies are around 95% potty trained, we also believe in being realistic. Any puppy will experience some regression when transitioning to a new environment. However, families who follow the schedule and routine we provide typically experience a smooth adjustment with minimal setbacks.

The level of training varies from puppy to puppy, and so do the associated prices. But for families who don’t want to start completely from scratch, investing in a puppy with a strong foundation can make an incredible difference.

Above all else, we want this journey to be enjoyable. Choosing a puppy should be exciting, not stressful. Communication should never feel like pulling teeth. We believe families deserve regular updates, honest conversations, and a breeder who remains available long after pickup day.

When you join our program, you’re not simply purchasing a puppy, you become part of our extended family. From the day your puppy is born to the years that follow, we’re here to answer questions, celebrate milestones, offer guidance, and help ensure your new companion has the very best start possible.

For families outside of Florida, we understand that distance shouldn’t stand in the way of finding the right puppy. That’s why we offer private ground transportation through our trusted puppy chauffeur, who transports exclusively for our program and delivers puppies safely, comfortably, and directly to their new homes across the United States. Families are invited into a private Life360 group during travel, allowing them to follow their puppy’s journey home in real time and share in the excitement every mile of the way.

We also welcome families who prefer to fly into our local airport or pick up directly from our home. Whenever possible, we’re happy to travel reasonable distances ourselves for a travel fee because helping our puppies safely reach the people who have been waiting for them is something we care deeply about.

Transparency is one of the values our program was built upon. Through our Wonderland’s Boujie Kennels Facebook page and our telegram, families can follow our dogs throughout their entire lives, from newborn puppies to mature adults. We maintain dedicated photo albums, share health testing results, post updates, and document the journey of the dogs who have helped shape our program. We want families to know the dogs behind the pedigrees, understand the care that goes into every breeding, and feel genuinely connected to where their puppy came from.

At the end of the day, our goal is simple. We strive to raise healthy, well-socialized, deeply loved companions while providing an experience that feels personal, honest, and supportive from beginning to end. We believe bringing home a puppy should be more than a transaction; it should be a memory your family treasures for years to come, which is why the Guide To Florida, voted us one of Florida’s Best Breeders for 2025, and on the ballot for 2026.
