Welcome to Wonderland’s Future Breeding Prospects! ♡
Thoughtfully Selected. Health Tested. An Investment in Your Program’s Future.
Thank you for stopping by our Future Breeding Prospects page!
At Wonderland’s Boujie Kennels, we’re excited to introduce something a little different to the breeding community!
As breeders ourselves, we understand how challenging it can be to find the right genetics, quality, structure, temperament, and health testing at a reasonable investment. Finding a promising breeding prospect is one thing, but investing thousands of dollars into a puppy without knowing whether that puppy will meet your program’s future health-testing standards can be a significant financial gamble.
We want to help take some of that uncertainty out of the equation!
♡ What Makes Our Future Prospects Different?
As we plan our upcoming litters and make selections for our own breeding program, we will occasionally identify exceptional puppies that we would personally consider keeping but simply do not need.
Rather than placing these puppies as traditional, untested breeding prospects, we plan to take things a step further!
Our selected prospects will undergo:
Embark DNA Testing: Completed as early as 6 weeks of age.
PennHIP Evaluation: Scheduled at 16 weeks of age.
Breeder-Selected Quality: Puppies chosen with our own breeding standards and future program goals in mind.
Full Breeding Rights: Included with their placement, along with transferable Embark and PennHIP documentation.
These puppies will generally be ready to join their new programs between 16–18 weeks of age, once their scheduled evaluations and necessary veterinary requirements have been completed.
Our goal is to provide fellow breeders with a more informed investment, without the excessive pricing often associated with purchasing breeding prospects.
♡ Invest With More Confidence
We know firsthand how frustrating it can be to purchase a beautiful, expensive breeding prospect, invest additional money into testing, and later discover that the dog isn’t an appropriate candidate for your program.
By completing PennHIP and Embark DNA testing before placement, we’re giving fellow breeders valuable information about their prospect before making that commitment.
Of course, these early evaluations do not guarantee future breeding suitability, reproductive ability, or passing results on additional health testing. Every breeding program will remain responsible for completing any outstanding OFA evaluations, breed-specific testing, and reproductive assessments as the dog matures.
But imagine starting with a carefully selected prospect whose preliminary hip evaluation and DNA results are already available!
That’s the opportunity we’re working to provide.
We aren’t looking to charge outrageous prices simply because a puppy comes with breeding rights. We want our prospects to represent genuine value, thoughtful selection, and a more confident starting point for another breeder’s future generations.
♡ What Is Included With Your Prospect?
Our future breeding prospects will be raised with the same care and attention as the puppies in our traditional programs.
Before departure, they will be:
Fully crate trained.
Fully vaccinated for their age, including rabies when age-appropriate.
Microchipped.
Examined by our veterinary team.
Provided with a USDA health certificate before departure.
Embark DNA tested and PennHIP evaluated, with results and documentation provided.
Please note: These puppies are not enrolled in our formal obedience training programs.
Additional training will only be provided when specifically advertised in an individual puppy’s listing, with pricing adjusted accordingly.
♡ Looking Ahead to Our Upcoming Litters
Throughout this year, we’ll begin highlighting the puppies we anticipate selecting from upcoming litters as potential future breeding prospects.
These early listings allow fellow breeders to see what we’re planning, what genetics we’re working toward, and which puppies may become available once evaluations are completed.
Please remember that all early prospect listings are tentative. Coat colors, eye colors, genetic percentages, individual puppy selections, availability, and pricing may change as litters arrive and puppies develop.
Final placement as a breeding prospect will depend on each puppy’s development, evaluation results, and overall suitability.
Our goal is simple:
To offer other responsible breeding programs an opportunity to invest in thoughtfully selected, pre-evaluated puppies without having to start completely from scratch.
We believe responsible breeding should be about improving future generations, supporting fellow breeders, and making informed decisions—not simply attaching the highest possible price tag to breeding rights.
