Vaccinations timelines & health certificates

Storm and Durin’s Medium Bernedoodles are fully vaccinated and have completed 4 veterinary visits prior to going home.

Before leaving for their new families, puppies are required to return to the vet for an updated fecal exam and USDA Health Certificate. This is not an optional process, it is required by law to ensure puppies are healthy, properly examined, and leaving within an approved veterinary window of care. Because of this, we are unable to accommodate last-minute or impulse pickups.

Another policy I strictly follow is that I do not release puppies within 48 hours of receiving vaccines. We require a minimum 72-hour observation window after vaccinations before pickup. Some puppies may run mild fevers, feel tired, or simply not feel like themselves after vaccines, and their comfort and wellbeing will always come first. This is something I will stand by after learning through the years and will not compromise on any longer.

Puppies also receive routine fecal screens monthly while in our care, as well as another fecal screening before departure when their health certificate is issued.

I’ve been told our process is extremely thorough and it is. But being thorough is part of being a responsible breeder and doing right by our puppies.

Thank you for understanding and supporting the level of care we provide at WBK.
